Books to the Sky

“Books to the ceiling, Books to the sky, My pile of books is a mile high. How I love them! How I need them! I'll have a long beard by the time I read them.” ― Arnold Lobel

The very accurate tagline for this short story is “paranormal can be funny.”  In this case paranormal is laugh out loud funny, strange, and very worth the quick read.

Robert Weston Smith is an extremely healthy, extremely confused man. The confusion he is currently experiencing stems from the alarming contents of the toilet, specifically the bits of cloth and stone like objects. One stool sample, an uncomfortable trip to the doctor, and even more uncomfortable proctol exam later, Weston has a few facts and more questions than ever.  Like, how did the buttons, zipper, and sixty three cents in change end up in his colon? Shapeshifters Anonymous can help him with answers to that and to how real shapeshifters, the lost Book of Bob, and the Salvation Army tie together.
